Chief Visionary, Founder and Co-director of the Windhorse Center

Practicing as a psychotherapist for over 35 years, I have found that I love working with people on the thresholds of major life transitions, in particular in the second season of life. I am passionate about guiding people through their life transitions in their search to reach a deeper consciousness and emerge with a fuller expression of who they are.

Along with my husband, Tim, we share a profound respect for the importance of connecting to nature, and how that connection can transform people’s lives by modeling a deeper way to engage the world around them.

Co-director of the Windhorse Center

As a longtime classroom educator, I was led early on to the study of religion, psychology and philosophy. My interest was always in their practical applications to personal and organizational growth, and these are things I continue to value. My passion lies in stewarding others in the development of authenticity in their identity, relationships, and life mission.

Our Work Together

We met over 35 years ago as psychotherapists in the heyday of the Human Potentials Movement. To this day we continue our exploration of human consciousness, which has led to our creation of The Windhorse Center.  Currently in our work, we embrace the indigenous wisdom of the ancient Andean culture and its role in evolving the collective wellbeing of our planet and humanity.

Ellen is a graduate of the University of Denver (B.A.) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (M.S.W.) Tim is a graduate of Yale University (B.A.) and the University of Chicago (Ph.D.). He is the father of a son and daughter-in-law and a grandfather of two young children in Chicago. We are the parents of two beautiful adult children. We live in Central Florida with a loving rescue dog and a cat, who thinks she is a fierce jaguar.
